Luka Zorenč, Founder and Director
Luka Zorenč is the founder of the Ris Academy. A former member of the Special Operations Forces, he has years of experience in safety, security, medicine, training and support in some of the world's most challenging areas. After a successful career in the Slovenian Armed Forces, where he specialised in medicine, he entered the private sector in the areas of security, training and consultancy. He published his debut book Ris, a book detailing his career in the Slovenian Armed Forces. He is currently involved in training national park guards in Africa, teaching them mainly tactical medicine, providing security escorts for journalists travelling to war zones and private security for high-profile clients. His work in Kenya, Ethiopia, Mali, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Mexico, Iraq, Kosovo, Japan and elsewhere gives him the experience to anticipate and prevent certain mistakes.
The Ris Academy was founded to provide advice and solutions to the complex situations we face in our daily lives, as well as to teach us how to operate in war zones. That is why the Ris Academy brings together former and current members of the armed forces, police, firefighters and paramedics to share their knowledge and pass on their first-hand experience from the field to you.
